Nepal - Community Project Travel

From beginning to the end the trip was fantastic. We had two wonderful guides with completely different strengths. Both leaders were very professional and caring. The trek was magnificent. It was well worth climbing to see the wonderful views once we reached Namche Bazaar. Our guides were wonderful. They did a great job of looking out for us on the trek and a fantastic job of looking after us in camp. The food was amazing. The porters were also really friendly and helpful and deserve medals for lugging all our gear around.

The local villagers at Jumbesi made us feel really welcome and put on a special dinner at the monastery. We were overwhelmed with the welcome they gave us and also the thank you. We had a great bunch of other trekkers on the trip and we were all matched up well with our room mates. We were very lucky with the weather and had day after day of awe inspiring views. There is not one bad thing that I can say about the trip. The trip was a life changing experience and I would love to do it all again. I would like to thank everyone involved. And I hope that one day I get to travel again with World Expeditions.

Culinary Adventures Launch with Peter Kuruvita and Friends

Sydney : Culinary Adventures Launch with Peter Kuruvita and Friends

Tuesday Feb 26, 2013 06:00 PM

Don’t miss this special evening with chef and TV personality Peter Kuruvita to learn more about the mouth-watering ‘My Sri Lanka’ culinary adventure that he will escort for us in February 2013 with other departures soon to be confirmed. You’ll hear why Peter finds Sri Lanka such an intriguing travel destination and learn more about the itinerary he’ll be escorting. Peter will also be joined by special guests, renowned chefs Hamish Ingham and Somer Sivrioglu, who will also share special insights into why they are so passionate about Chinese (Hamish) and Turkish (Somer) cuisine and culture. Each will be leading a Gourmet Adventure with World Expeditions in 2013 to their country of culinary passion.

Plus we’ll be announcing our other gourmet adventures in 2013 all led by culinary masterminds. Each hand crafted itinerary includes carefully selected boutique style hotels, cooking demonstrations, visits to local markets and restaurants and meeting other chefs from the regions.  The journeys are characterised by their focus on food – cooking,
appreciating and, of course, eating.

This special event will be catered by Scottie, our trusted World Expeditions caterer for the past 15 years, who is an impassioned traveller and knowledgeable foodie. Scott will delight us with unique dishes from each region that we will be exploring in our 2013 Culinary Adventures - China, Morocco, Northern Italy, Spain, Sri Lanka, Turkey.

This night is a fascinating insight for anyone who loves international cuisine and is interested in joining a very special gourmet adventure they will never forget. Seating is limited so reserve your place(s) now.
