Sherpa Everest

The Sherpa Everest trip that I was on was just excellent. The Aussies , the leaders, cook, sherpas and porters were the best. I just wish we could have had one more beautiful day in Namche so we could have gone to the Everest Hotel. One of the days we walked through 7-8 inches of snow and unfortunately we did not see the mountains. That was a day to remember. The next day it was unbelievably clear in Namche but we had to start our return towards Lukla. All in all, it was great trip.

I was amazed how well I did on the Sherpa Everest trip and I believe the Aussies and the leader were amazed too. I believe it was the way the sherpas lead us up the hills. A nice slow and steady pace along with staying in Namche for two days. Keep up the good work.

What better way to experience a world of adventure than from handle bar level!

Cycling adventures enable you to explore areas travellers don’t normally get access to, and you do it all at a slow pace so you can take everything in. With the wind in your hair and the sun on your back you can perfectly combine activity with discovery. Join World Expeditions resident cyclist Philip Wyndham as he recalls some of his cycling adventures and our adventures through Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, China, India, Peru, Europe, the Himalaya and Australia as well as showing you how you can join us on these rewarding adventures.

World Expeditions began organizing cycling holidays in India in 1978, when we first recognised that cycling was the perfect means to explore remote villages a world away from the highways. Today, we operate a range of cycling holidays to suit all levels of cycling ability. From fully supported short cycling interludes to more challenging cross country traverses. Come and see for yourself how you can join us on one of these great adventures.
