Nepal - Community Project Travel

From beginning to the end the trip was fantastic. We had two wonderful guides with completely different strengths. Both leaders were very professional and caring. The trek was magnificent. It was well worth climbing to see the wonderful views once we reached Namche Bazaar. Our guides were wonderful. They did a great job of looking out for us on the trek and a fantastic job of looking after us in camp. The food was amazing. The porters were also really friendly and helpful and deserve medals for lugging all our gear around.

The local villagers at Jumbesi made us feel really welcome and put on a special dinner at the monastery. We were overwhelmed with the welcome they gave us and also the thank you. We had a great bunch of other trekkers on the trip and we were all matched up well with our room mates. We were very lucky with the weather and had day after day of awe inspiring views. There is not one bad thing that I can say about the trip. The trip was a life changing experience and I would love to do it all again. I would like to thank everyone involved. And I hope that one day I get to travel again with World Expeditions.

World Expeditions has been pioneering adventure travel to the Himalaya for more than 30 years. Hear about the magic of this remote pristine wilderness and  the unique cultures and festivals of Nepal & Bhutan.

Our treks offer a great opportunity to leave Nepal's tourist trails and venture into the deep forests and roam the high alpine passes. Travel to the base of the sacred, fluted peak of Machapuchare. Go into the Annapurnas, beyond the tea house trails and trek through traditional Hindu villages where we are assured of a warm welcome. In Chitwan National Parkwe undertake a wildlife safari in search of rhino and the Bengal tiger. Take the trekkers pilgrimage to Everest Base Camp using our comfortable new permanent campsites with above ground bedding, head-high tents, western style toilets and an eco-friendly dining room! The Gokyo Lakes trek is a more tranquil journey through the Sherpa heartland that affords ample time for acclimatisation with opportunities to savour the mountain panoramas.

This evening will also inform you about tranquil Bhutan. In this serene kingdom we explore the cultural heritage and we follow trails that lead high above the Paro and Thimphu valleys to gain unrivalled views of the Himalayan peaks that define the borderlands of Bhutan and Tibet.
